Partial outage from DNS record migration

Maintenance performed on shadowhealth.com DNS records on the morning of Wed. Oct 4th resulted in app.shadowhealth.com being unresolvable for some users from approximately 07:43 to 09:24 EDT. An improperly formatted NS (nameserver) record was propagated during this window.

Depending on geographical location and local and ISP DNS settings, some users were unable to load the Shadow Health LMS and/or access course content including attempting assignments.

We saw traffic at roughly 50% of normal levels from 07:43 to 09:24 EDT. A fix to the nameserver record was propagated at that time and we saw traffic return to normal levels within a few minutes of the fix.

The DNS maintenance was a one time operation and while our systems engineers are currently monitoring, we do not expect any further related issues.
